LUNGE are a husband and wife duo who have formed a truly interesting sound based on both their musical past, and ripping up the rulebook on everything they’ve done before. The end result is a pop project that relies heavily on an electronic sound that blends both analogue and digital sounds and techniques. ‘This Idle Motion’ is filled with warm textures and an acrobatic vocal display that instantly shows why Lunge are a band we should be keeping an eye on. Lyrically, Arp explains: “I wrote them quick-flash one night in bed and in the morning laid them on the piano for Viva to write to and it was complete that day; one of those occasional, golden, easy-birth songs.” Their debut EP, EP1, drops on April 7th, 2023. -Dan Peeke.
